Yukata
  • Medium
    • For about 165-170 cm tall (5 ft 4 in ~ 5 ft 7 in tall)
    • Waist size is up to 105 cm
      ※ If the waist size is more than 105cm, you cannot tighten the band (Keiso Obi)
    • Chest size is up to about 120 cm
  • Large
    • About 170-180cm tall is suitable. Up to about 185cm is OK.
      (About 5 ft 7 in ~ 5 ft 11 in tall is suitable. Up to about 6 ft 1 in is OK.)
    • Waist size is up to 105 cm
      ※ If the waist size is more than 105cm, you cannot tighten the band (Keiso Obi)
    • Chest size is up to about 120 cm

Yukata

Yukata was originally said that it was a unlined kimono worn by a noble lady when she bathes. Then it was widespread when people started wearing colorful Yukata when they joined bon-odori (Japanese traditional dancing) events which became popular in the beginning of edo era.
Because of this comfortable style, it became popular as a "casual kimono" and even now it is used as indoor wear at Japanese-Inn of Onsen (hot spring).
In modern times when Japanese people became to wear a western style clothing, there are many people who dress up with Yukata to go to summer festival, bon-dancing or fireworks festival. In addition, it's easier to wear Yukata than regular kimono, so it started to catch attention of young generations again. 

Yukata Kumadori

Yukata which embellished "Kumadori" which is a makeup method of Japanese traditional theater art called Kabuki. Among different colors, red Kumadori symbolizes the expression of "justice" and "courage" and it is said to have a motif which symbolizes "Zen."

Obi (belt)

For Yukata style, you put on a yukata and wrap the cloth around the waistline with a belt called obi to complete it. It is difficult to wear a normal obi and even for Japanese, only the person with experience can tighten it. But the obi which our shop offers is very simple to wear due to special specification. But it looks like a normal obi. So you can use it with confidence.

Keiso Obi

It is a convenient belt (called obi) that you can attach with Velcro, so you don't need to tighten it by yourself. However, it has a knot which looks real, so it looks stylish (fashionable).

Setta (sandals)

A kind of traditional Japanese footwear. They are more durable than Zouri which are sandals made by braiding plants. And Setta are not so difficult to walk compared to Geta which have teeth type clogs, so it is said that cultural people such as the person who conducts tea ceremony wore them and widespread.
Even in modern Japan, Setta are easier to walk and more safely than Geta, so there are more people wearing Setta, especially where a lot of people gather such as festivals and fireworks festivals.
Setta which we offer on this site are arranged in contemporary style such as the material of the front and back, so you can wear them easily like beach sandals.

※ Since it is told that the slightly overhanging heel is stylish (cool), you can choose Setta whose size is slightly smaller than your size.
However, if the width of the feet is wide or the top of foot is high, please choose the size with margin.

Setta Black

The orthodox Setta for women which are more round than Setta for men. They have black straps, so they are easy to coordinate.

Kinchaku

This bag is for bringing Japanese ancient accessories or handmade items to carry around. Classic items in Yukata style.
We use outer material named "Niagara" which gives a gentle touch feeling.
